Welcome to the Mansfield’s Heroes Memorial Fund  website.

The Mansfield’s Heroes Memorial Fund is raising funds to establish a permanent memorial to the service men and women of the District of Mansfield who have given their lives in conflicts since the end of World War Two.

Although the names of those from Mansfield who fell in the two Grear Wars are recorded in a book of rembrance in the Civic Centre, there is no memorial to the names of those who have paid the ultimate price since; it is time this was put right. The campaign is raising funds to pay for the memorial and its future upkeep.

We also aim to support local families of ex-servicemen and women via the Royal British Legion Nottinghamshire Welfare Fund and those returning injured from contemporary conflicts by making donations to the Help for Heroes charity.

The campaign was launched on the 21st of October 2009. At the same time the Mansfield’s Heroes Memorial Fund was set up to receive donations and contributions.  Please show your support for the Fund in any way you can. These brave people deserve our appreciation and recognition

At the going down of the sun, we will remember them.
